J. Dan Lang, JD, LLM is a Financial Consultant and a Registered Principal with Independent Financial Group, Member FINRA/SIPC. Dan works with highly compensated and high net worth individuals utilizing his legal and accounting background to help create comprehensive solutions for his clients including:

• Wealth Preservation
• Estate and Tax Planning
• Retirement Planning

Dan helps his clients recognize the steps in the process to becoming financially independent. Dan and his clients discuss their goals, their desires and tolerance for risk, and then together they develop a strategy to pursue them. Education of his clients each step of the way is of utmost importance to Dan.

Dan has worked in the financial services and insurance industry since 1996, focusing on financial management and wealth preservation for high net worth individuals. Previously he practiced law full-time focusing on estate and tax planning. Dan holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University, a J.D. degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, and an LLM in Taxation from the University of San Diego. He holds the FINRA series 6, 7, 24 and 66, Registrations held with Independent Financial Group.

He is active in his community having held numerous positions in youth baseball, softball and soccer associations. He has also served as a scoutmaster in The Boy Scouts of America and is an Eagle Scout himself.

Dan and his wife Jo Dee reside in Westlake Village, California and have five daughters and one son, Jamie, Danny, Carly, Cassidy, Katie, and Julie.
